Lord Narasimha Mantras

Om Nṛsiṁhāya Vidmahe Vajranakhāya Dhīmahi। Tanno Nṛsiṁha Pracodayāt॥ — Om, Let us meditate on Lord Narasimha, the one with adamantine claws. May Lord Narasimha inspire and enlighten us.

Nṛsiṁhāya pracaṇḍāya namo'stu bhayanāśanā | Sarvāvighnavināśāya stambhajāte namo'stute || — I offer my obeisances to Lord Narasimha, who is extremely fierce, yet the destroyer of all fears. My obeisances to Him who annihilates all obstacles and who appeared from a pillar.

Om Vajranakhaya Vidmahe Tikshnadamshtraya Dhimahi Tanno Narasimha Prachodayat ॥ — Om, May we know the one with thunderbolt-like claws; may we meditate upon the one with sharp teeth; may Lord Narasimha enlighten us.

‘‘Ugraṁ vīraṁ mahāviṣṇuṁ jvalantaṁ sarvatomukham। Nṛsiṁhaṁ bhīṣaṇaṁ bhadraṁ mṛtyu mṛtyuṁ namāmyaham॥” — ‘‘I bow down to Lord Narasimha, who is formidable and heroic, the great all-pervading Lord Vishnu, blazing and all-faced. He is terrifying yet auspicious, and the death of death itself.’’

Namo Narasiṁhāya prahlādāhlāda-dāyine hiraṇyakaśipurvakṣasthalāya nakhālāyāya itonṛsiṁhaḥ parato nṛsiṁho yato yato yāmi tato nṛsiṁhaḥ bahirnṛsiṁho hṛdaye nṛsiṁho nṛsiṁhamādiṁ śaraṇaṁ prapadye — I offer my obeisances to Lord Narasimha, who gives joy to Prahlada Maharaja and whose nails are the abode on the chest of Hiranyakashipu. Lord Nrsimha is here, and He is also there. Wherever I go, there is Lord Nrsimha. He is in the heart and is outside as well. I surrender to Lord Nrsimha, the origin of all.
